Our Story

We Were Told to Wait.
We Built Instead.

Bypass Hollywood Studios was born from a simple, radical idea: that the stories of underserved communities — Black, Latino, BIPOC, working-class families, and every audience the mainstream has marginalized — are not niche. They are universal. They are powerful. And they deserve to be told with the same craft, ambition, and production quality as anything coming out of a major studio.

We are a micro-studio with a macro vision. We produce live action, scripted drama, unscripted reality, family animation, and adult animation — content that spans every genre and every emotion. We test our ideas in the real world, iterate fast, and bring only the strongest stories to life. We don't pitch to gatekeepers. We greenlight ourselves.

The result is a body of work that is raw, resonant, and impossible to ignore — content that networks, streamers, and brands are beginning to recognize as the future of entertainment.

Our Mission

To produce world-class content that centers the stories, faces, and voices of underserved audiences — and to prove, definitively, that these stories are not just commercially viable, but culturally essential.

Our Method

We move fast and smart. We micro-test short-form content at scale, analyze real audience data, and iterate relentlessly. By the time we commit to a full production, we already know it works. It's the startup mindset applied to storytelling — and it's changing the game.

Our Vision

A world where every audience — regardless of background, ethnicity, or zip code — can see themselves as the hero of their own story. We are building that world, one frame at a time, one project at a time, one revolution at a time.

"We don't need Hollywood's permission anymore. The technology exists. The talent exists. The audience exists. All that was ever missing was the will to greenlight ourselves." — Jeff Rivera

Jeff Rivera is not a man who waits. He is a three-time Telly Award winner, a published author (Warner Books), and the Co-Executive Producer of the American Reality Television Awards. He has written, produced, and developed content across virtually every format in the industry — scripted, unscripted, animation, music video, commercial, and documentary.

His career began as a child actor, which gave him an early, visceral understanding of what it means to be in front of the camera — and what it means to be told your story doesn't belong there. That experience lit a fire that has never gone out. Rivera turned to writing, becoming a bestselling author and ghostwriter of nearly 200 books, before pivoting to television and film production with a portfolio that now includes 22+ TV development deals across scripted, unscripted, documentary, true crime, kids & family, and more.

As the creator of the acclaimed 1-Hour Mentorship and Showrunner Mentorship Academy, Rivera has connected emerging BIPOC filmmakers with some of the most powerful names in Hollywood — including Annette Bening, Ed Harris, Steven Soderbergh, Julianne Moore, Michael Douglas, Lee Daniels, and senior executives from Netflix, Disney, and Nickelodeon. He has been featured in Forbes, The Boston Globe, Publishers Weekly, NPR, TMZ, WABC, WNBC, and dozens of other national outlets.

Rivera is now at the absolute forefront of AI-driven storytelling, pioneering the use of cutting-edge generative models to create feature film–quality animated shorts, music videos, and movie trailers at a fraction of traditional cost. His specialty lies in rapidly creating and micro-testing short-form content on YouTube at scale — giving production companies a revolutionary new tool to test intellectual property in a cost-efficient, data-driven, and controlled way before committing to full-scale productions.

As the Founder, Executive Producer, Editor in Chief, and lead writer of Bypass Hollywood Studios, Rivera is building something that the industry has never seen: a micro-studio with the creative firepower of a major, the agility of a startup, and the soul of a movement. He starts his day at 4 AM. He doesn't stop until the work is done. And the work is never done — because the stories that need to be told are infinite.
